Freedom Park in Mexico set to open June 21
Sponsored by Tobacco Free Network of Oswego County and Others
Mexico, N.Y. (June 11, 2008) - Mexico’s Freedom Skate/BMX Park will be unveiled to the public on June 21. The entire community is invited to take part in the grand opening beginning at noon.
There will be a barbecue, free cotton candy and an inflatable bounce house as well as a skateboarding demonstration by well-known Etiket Riders from Rochester.
At 4 p.m., local band, “The Shoeless” will play. The celebration will continue June 22 when the Etiket BMX riders demonstrate their expert moves at 1p.m.
Opening weekend festivities are sponsored by the Village of Mexico, Tobacco Free Network of Oswego County, Reality Check, and Red Planet Skate/Bike Park.
The park will be open from noon to 8 p.m. seven days a week, beginning June 21. Beginner instruction will be held every Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. Helmets are required for all skaters and bikers at all times.
